Slabnik Nature Escape

The hosts are very kind and did everything to make your stay enjoyable. They can tell a lot about the area and can cook delicious!! Besides that the location is beautiful with great views and its wildlife. Appartment is very clean and has all you need, with comfy bed, good bathroom and outdoor kitchen. We enjoyed 6 nights, it was awesome! Highly recommend.

Odlična lokacija za oddih od mestnega vrveža. Zelo lep apartma in udobna postelja. Dobro izhodišče za izlete v okolici, ogled Idrije, obenem pa uživanje v neokrnjeni naravi.

We stayed at Urbans place for one night and whole experience was lovely. The apartment is spacious. It made an excellent home base for a weekend of exploring around Idrija and beyond. Place was very clean and convenient with everything you need. Outside terrace is zen place to relax if you like enjoying quiet time with nature. Urban is encyclopedia of knowledge about Idrija sights and was too kind to help us what to explore. The best part of staying at Slabnik Nature Escape was morning breakfast that was super delicious, fresh and most importantly abundant, perfect for starting the day strong.

I stayed at Urban house for one night during my cycling around Slovenian lakes. He is indeed a very kind host and you see in his eyes that he honestly cares for his guests. I deeply recommend staying at his house, if you want to escape somewhere in the middle of nature in Slovenia, away of the crowd.Urban, thank you for the breakfast and coffees, they made my day!

Chiariamo il fatto che non è semplicissimo da raggiungere, si trova ad almeno 20 minuti di strada di montagna passando per Idrija e quindi sopra la città.Ma la zona, la natura e poi la casa stessa in cui arriverete, sono a dir poco incredibili. Una baita bellissima, con giardini stupendi, bosco tutto intorno e la struttura abitativa dotata di comfort esterni entusiasmanti e rilassanti e la camera e la cucina interni sono veramente rustici e con tutto quello che serve (forse un po' buia l'atmosfera interna).I gestori sono di una gentilezza e simpatia poco comuni. Una bella famiglia che vi accoglie e pensa a voi.Consigliatissimo per rilassarsi più giorni.Unico inconveniente, le molte zanzare che ci sono la sera (ma ti danno anche l'apparecchio elettrico col neon blu, che le attira e le fulmina)

I could only recommend Nature Escape in Čekovnik. This accommodation is placed in a very beautiful surrounding, in the mountains. It takes approximately 15 minutes to get there from Idrija by car. There are multiple tourist attractions in Idrija (e.g. quicksilver mine, the castle, walking trails), but Postojna Cave and Ljubljana are also close. The apartment was clean and well-equipped. The description and photos fully correspond to the reality. The host family lives in the same building, but we had a full privacy. The apartment is hosted by Urban, who is an expert on Slovenian tourist attractions. He gave us many useful tips and explained Slovenian history, culture and cuisine. We also tried the meals prepared by Urban's mother - they were simply delicious.
