Caught elusive marble trout in the pristine gin clear river Soca amid stunning mountain scenery. Guide was terrific, knew all the lies and flies, and could not have had a better visit. Highly recommend.

I had wanted to fly-fish in Slovenia for nearly 25 years and now at last my sweetheart and I had the chance to do so. It was superb - all we had hoped for and more. The scenery is even more mesmerizing than the online photos suggest, the flowing waters are lovely and all we visited contained good populations of fish (bigger for the size of the water than where we usually fish in North America), and the guiding was superb.The streams had been swollen due to rains but Ziga made excellent choices for three days running, put us on to fish right away (a nice rainbow came on the third cast), and we each also caught Marmorata trout. Some of the pools looked like trout-filled aquariums - even the smallest creeks had fish of 60-70 cm length. It was simply a superb experience. Mitga the company rep also helped greatly in making our whole visit to Slovenia happen to begin with, and stayed in continuous touch.The big test is always: Would we go back? Our answer: YES!!!

There is not Fly Fishing Slovenia, but you can buy fly fishing licence in Hotel Mangart which is nearby.

Ich bin sehr positiv überrascht.Kaptain Davor war sehr freundlich und erklärte uns schon vor der Ausfahrt welche Fische (Petermännchen & Co) wir nicht anfassen sollten, da sie giftig sind.Am Angelplatz bissen auch gleich die ersten Fische, allerdings hielt sich die Anzahl die ersten 20min in Grenzen. Daraufhin fuhren wir ein Stück weiter zu einem anderen Angelplatz. Hier lief es auch gleich besser. Von Rotbrasse, Boops, Picarel, Makrele und einigen anderen Fischen haben wir sehr gut gefangen. Besonders die Markrelen haben sehr viel Spaß gemacht.Eine super Angeltour mit einem freundlichen und hilfsbereiten Davor, die ich nur empfehlen kann.

Thanks to Slovenia, and my guide Mitja for an unforgettable, absolutely great day of fishing. I am 49, fished my whole life and lots of different places. This trip will go into my top experiences without a doubt. We were on the fish in short time, and stayed on them for about 6 hrs. You could never take your eye off the float. I learned a lot, mostly due to the fact that Mitja had a lot of knowledge. Knowing when to move, where to move, even where to cast, he worked the entire time to keep us in the fish. You could not ask more from a guide. I would fish with him again anywhere, and anytime. Already looking into doing it again.

It's been a fantastic experience, Sasa is a very knowledgeable guide who makes sure to get you the best time on the water. We had a wonderful time and will return!

Very friendly guides! Very helpful and accommodating. 3 days of fly fishing at beautiful locations throughout Slovenia. Fishing was fantastic and wrist couldn’t take anymore from large Brown and Rainbows Trout. Guides knew water and knew proper technique to trigger strikes from pressured fish. Service helped arrange rental car and lodging. None better!!!
