Sublime Escapes

We had the most amazing 10 days staying at Sublime Escapes. Our apartment was modern, clean and beautifully appointed, and as a family of 5 we had plenty of room.The village of Stara Fuzina is wonderful and it feels like you have stepped into a postcard. The people our friendly and everyone spoke and understood English, so very easy for an Aussie family. We were there in January and enjoyed great skiing/snowboarding and ski hire, lift tickets, food etc was unbelievably cheap!Our hosts Scotty and Ali were a delight and could not have been more accomodating. We are now planning a summer trip to Europe and will most certainly be spending time in beautiful Slovenia and staying at Sublime Escapes.

Where to begin...First, let's talk about Stara Fuzina and the surrounding Lake Bohinj area. We spent 2 weeks in the area and enjoyed hiking, SUPing, swimming, biking, and just exploring. The natural beauty of the mountains, mirror-like lake, and valley are matched by the serene, simple farms around which most of the local economy still subsists. We loved it.Second, the two flats within Sublime Escapes might be the best we've experienced in our global travels. Spacious, light-filled, clean, and comfortable, our 2-room flat had everything we needed. The extra half-bath was handy for our family of 4. In-unit laundry (both washer and drier) were also critical due to all of the outdoor (read: sometimes wet and messy) activities we enjoyed.Finally, Ali and Scott are more than hosts. At varying times throughout our 2-week stay, Ali or Scott played the hiking guide, pizza chef, drinking pal, or Scotch sommelier". Getting to know them was a highlight of our experience."

We traveled as a family of four and had a wonderful time in Stara Fužina. Ali and Scott are lovely hosts and their place is just short of perfect. Obviously, the location is amazing, but also the apartment itself is beautifully renovated, well equipped, and very clean. I can't recommend it highly enough.

A gem near Lake Bohinj! We enjoyed having this super comfortable and spotlessly clean apartment to come home to during our active week in the Bohinj area. With swims in the lake every day, long hikes in the mountains, as well as cycling and low level walks around the valley there was lots to do during our week-long break... and it was great to know we could come home to a hot shower and excellent facilities for washing and drying our gear no matter what we'd been up to! Delightful to have the local cow herd passing by each day, the possibility to have breakfast outdoors at the apartment, and to know there was a wood burner in the apartment if the temperature dropped. Fab!

Scott and Ali’s place is simply amazing. I travel the world as a digital nomad and have never stayed in a better place with better hosts. If I could give them ten stars, I would. A must see location in lake bohinj and a must stay place.

Perfect house with high quality facilities and equipment. Friendly owner, communication was clear and quickly. Beautiful area for hikes in different diffeculties.

We stayed in Sublime Escapes in December 2019 as a family. We are experienced travelers and have been to this area a number of times. We found this accommodation to be superior and to be just perfect! It is in a great location and wonderful hosts. The apartment was sparkling clean, modern, warm and cozy! Ali and Scott were truly fantastic hosts! It is such a fabulous place we will be sure to come back! I do not hesitate to recommend this accommodation. Thanks for the wonderful stay!
