Winery Mihelin

Some friends and I on a whim did a day tour through the Slovenia wine country. This is the smallest of the places we had stopped at and was by far one of the best experiences we had in Slovenia. The 4th generation winery family gave us a tour of the land and winery while sipping and sampling many different types of their wine. In addition, they let us dine on fresh cherries straight from their trees and served us ice cream! Some of the best hospitality I have had during all my travels! They loved explaining their process and how they are fusing new technology not typically seen in the local area. They younger generation that is taking over the winery is in their 30s and very passionate with big dreams. They love to teach their art while speaking perfect english (most of the wineries we visited did not have many english speakers). This is a most stop on your tour through Slovenia.
