Pusti grad

Super izlet nad Radovljico. Lep pogled iz gradu na Blejski grad v daljavi. Dostopno skoraj zraven z avtom. Priporočam.

Zanimivi ostanki gradu, ni jih sicer veliko, je pa lepo. Lepa tura za kolesarjenje ali družinski sprehod.

Primerno za kolesarski izlet iz Radovljicali sprehod čez gozd, skozi vasice do Pustega gradu. Osamljeni ostanki gradu v osrčju gozdov, s čudovitim razgledom.

In a wonderful state of ruination, pusti grad (‘left/abandoned’ castle) is a great centrepiece for several family hikes in Radovljica. You can park for free at Vodna ucna pot Grabnarica or strike out from Radovljica itself via the Fuxova Bridge. There is no parking at the castle itself, entry is free and it’s open all year round.Also known as Lipinica Grad, as legend has it a spiteful countess in the 15th century gave her husband a poisoned apple. In punishment for the murder she was turned into a snake and it’s said she still slithers around the ruins. We haven’t seen her yet, but be aware of the other hazards when visiting with young children. It’s great to explore but there are some pretty steep drops and what remains of the castle looks very unstable. Climbing any part of it would definitely not be recommended, especially as wonderful views of the surrounding hills and mountains can be enjoyed all around this ancient monument.

Castle ruins with a rich history connected with the counts of Ortenburg, who also founded the medieval town of Radovljica. There is a legend that the castle ruins are haunted by a snake with a golden crown...the countess Margaret Von Teck, the wife of Frederick of Ortenburg, who supposedly poisoned her husband with a poisoned apple. Well historically, she in fact died before him.

Zelo lepo urejena pot iz Kamne Gorice skozi Galerije in naprej do Pustega Gradu, lahka pot primerna tudi za otroke približno 1 ura in 30 minut hoje po čisti naravi.
