Castle Hostel 1004

Günstig und sehr zu Empfehlen! Nicht die beste Aussicht dafür Einkaufsmöglichkeit sehr nah und die Bar nebenan war gut gefüllt und hat meine Laune aufjedenfall aufblühen lassen. Ich komme gerne wieder!

During my recent trip to Bled, Slovenia, I stayed at the Castle Hostel and I have to say, it was one of the highlights of my trip. The hostel is located in a beautiful setting, with stunning views of the castle and lake. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The common areas were cozy and inviting, making it easy to meet other travelers. I would definitely recommend the Castle Hostel to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Bled.

I like how friendly the staffs are! I tried to check in at around 10:30 AM, and even though the receptionist said that I cannot check in immediately due to the rooms still had to be cleaned, he said that I could use the safe room to store my luggages there. Once I explored around the lake and came back to the hostel, he helped me to bring my luggage up the stairs, which I really appreciated it, as the hostel do not have elevators.The hostel is also conveniently located only 5 minutes from the main Bled bus station by foot, as well as a convenience store. There is also a burger shop there if you want a dinner and you are too tired to cook.The reason why I only gave this hostel an 4 out of 5 is because of the lack of elevators, which would otherwise make my check in process way easier (good thing it was only on the first floor). Also I didn't find a convenient place for me to work outside the room.

Very nice! I stayed in a private room with its own bathroom and airconditioning. Towels were not included (but you can probably rent them, I didn’t ask). The owner is very friendly and has lots of suggestions about what’s nice to visit. The place has the best stocked and most used kitchen I’ve ever seen in a hostel!

Helaas is minder dan 1 ster niet mogeijk..We hebben hier een 2-persoons kamer geboekt met 2 losse bedden. Aankomen bleek er nog aan de kamer te worden gewerkt waardoor het buiten een een bouwplaats was. Bij het openmaken van de deur werd door de host nog snel wat piepschuim in een hoekje geveegd. Binnen bleek er een 2 persoons bed te zijn. Ook zat er geen deur of gordijn voor de douche/wc waardoor je dus in de slaapkamer zat. Er was geen douchegel/shampoo aanwezig en handdoeken moesten voor €2,- extra worden gehuurd (zoals ook op de website staat aangegeven).Voor €120,- per nacht is dit echt een schande! We hebben een ontzettend mooie vakantie gehad en alle andere slaapplekken bleken mooi en conform verwachting, dit was echter totaal niet het geval bij Castle Hostel… Een schande dat ze gasten hier zo misleiden met foto’s die absoluut niet lijken op wat je daadwerkelijk aantreft…

The hostel location is perfect. There's a super market just behind the hostel. The hostel manager AB was an amazing host, he recommended best things to do around bled and it was worth.The rooms/wc was clean and also the kitchen.I would again stay in this hostel.

I kinda feel bad doing this review because the staff was friendly and helpful, but it's unacceptable that you show pictures of a completely different place.The actual hostel isn't bad at all but there were not such spots like the rooftop or the common area. So just be aware that the place in the pictures is not the one you'll stay at if you book.

Stay away. Had a bad experience: We were two persons who had a room for three nights. There was no door between the toilet and the beds. The space outside the room (a sort of a parking lot) looks like a junkyard. The room stinks cement. The room was dirty upon arrival and never cleaned by the staff during our stay. You can hear people chatting outside all night long. The door to the room could hardly be locked. It was also expensive. Maybe the dorms are better…

10/10 atmosphere, the other guests were fun and friendly. The owner/host guy was so accommodating and helpful and just a generally good guy. There is always free food in the kitchen and there are more than enough cutlery and utensils for everyone. It is a short walk from everything (restaurants, bars, the lake, the gorge) and there is a supermarket right beside it. Overall it’s a great place to stay, and excellent value for money. :)
