Smučišče Encijan

Encijan is a mini location for skiing situated in village Log pod Mangartom. It is operated in weekends by locals. There are two ski lifts, one of them being just a cable-lift for small kids. The slope is about 250 meters long and there is a part for sledding only. There are also two pistes for Nordic skiing / skiathlon, one left to the main slope and the other just across the road. Someone would say this isn't worth the effort of bringing skis at all but I look at it this way: the location is superb, surrounded with peaks of Julian Alps, one can bring and teach kids or beginners skiing (it's perfect for that purpose), ski or sled just for fun, practice cross-country or just to be outdoor. And the best part - there is no skipass. So why not to try...
