Sixt Rent a Car Ljubljana

Excelente trato y servicio por parte del personal de Sixt en Liubljana. Nos ofrecieron un coche de gama superior a la solicitada (VW Passat) y no pusieron ninguna pega al disponer de un seguro con otra compañía. Además, nos facilitaron entregar el coche unas horas después de que lo habíamos reservado. Personal amable, educado y muy servicial. Muy recomendable para alquilar coche y disfrutar del país. Por último, es importante que no compréis la vignette porque los coches alquilados en Eslovenia ya la llevan incluida.

We specifically selected this location for pick-up due to its close proximity to our accommodations. One hour before we were to collect our rental, I received an email saying we would be unable to retrieve the car from this location and would need to go to the train station branch instead. We were on a tight schedule and called to ask if they could pick us up or send a taxi, given this was not part of the agreement. The staff were entirely unsympathetic and completely unwilling to work with us to find a solution.We were forced to walk 20 minutes in the rain to pick up our car. This delay, combined with a lengthy pick-up process, caused us to leave Ljubljana almost an hour later than planned, causing us to miss our pre-booked tour of Postojna Cave.The car itself smelled intensely of cigarette smoke even though it was a non-smoking car, and the icing on the cake was when SIXT attempted to double charge us for the rental at the end of our trip (we had two charges for the same amount on our credit card bill that month).We were incredibly disappointed by our overall experience with SIXT in Slovenia, particularly when we’ve had such positive experiences with the company in other countries.

Please have an option for 0 stars. This place is ridiculous. I've been renting cars for a long time and this place decided to charge me 3x the amount I was quoted.I returned the car before they were open and left the keys and took a picture since I had a feeling they were going to mess up. And they did, they added 3 additional days to my rental and they also charged a one way fee that was not included in my additional quote.Their invoice (which is wrong) didnt even match the pending charge on my credit card. I do not understand why they're still in business. DO NOT rent from any location.I will be working with my credit card company to contest this. How is this not illegal? They are literally making up charges and charging customers up the behind.

First time a very bad experience with Sixt. Like others already wrote, when returning the car, they find suddenly scratches, they already know where to look and just inspect certain areas. Very unpleasant experience. Tried to talk to them, since these damages where not mine. No chance. Avoid this rental station.

Returned our car today after a nice holiday. unfortunately this fun was soon gone. They checked the car for damage and supposedly found something within 3 seconds. A mini scratch in the door of about 2 cm in size. Strange that you find something so small within 3 seconds. Even more strange that you don't even check the other two doors on the other side. We feel very screwed. Especially when they wanted us to draw for the damage in a smart way. Luckily we figured this out. Just wait and see what happens next. Very sad to end our holiday like this. In any case, we will never rent from sixt again!

This location is closed for renovations. I picked up my car from Piran and was not told this Ljubljana location was closed when booking. Upon returning the car to this location there was no indication that this location was closed and the r lights were on. I went to the next closest location at the train station and it was a mess trying to find the location to drop off. Avoid the Ljubljana in town locations and just rent from the airport instead. Staff at Ljubljana and Piran locations were courteous and the car was good but communications could be better. Ridiculous that they don’t tell you a drop off location is closed!

Rented a car with them for a day, when we returned it they claimed we had left a mark on the door which was already there. We have photo proof that it was from a previous time but they are still taking 100Euro from our deposit.I’d recommend going away but here, as you can see from the many other reviews, they are scamming people all the time!

Warning to everyone even slightly considering ever using Sixt’s services:I rented a car in Sixt Ljubljana in 2021, where everything - seemed - to go through smoothly. I took great care of the car and I am a very cautious driver.Subsequently, after handing in the car, the Sixt employee assured us that he found no damages to ours and that we could leave without further payments.We thanked him and left, thinking everything was fine. However, this was just the beginning of the nightmare.Six months later, I receive a fine from Sixt Ljubjana, with neither any elaboration nor any evidence, charging me more than 400 Euro.I contact them on the phone and they refer me to their damage department email address. Eventually, I write Damage Department an email about the case, to which they never respond. Therefore, I naively think the case is over, as I no longer hear from them.A year later, I suddenly received a letter from a Danish Debt collector, threatening me on behalf of Sixt Ljubljana.I contact Sixt once again, both calling and writing emails and again being referred to their Damage Department.They do not respond to several of the questions I ask, and the “evidence” they provide is just random pictures of the car, with no dates/time stamps, whatsoever. There is a small scratch on the aluminum rim of the front wheel on three centimeters, followed by a document with a damage report of the scratch, with “my” signature on it, addressing me as ‘Mr.’, despite that I am a woman and they saw me at their office.This is called identity theft and contract fraud and I am appalled and shocked.They didn’t respond to my last mail where I mention this either, which is highly suspicious as well.Please do yourself a favor and stay far away from this company that will create hell in your life 1 ½ years after renting from them.

Pick up in the city centre was efficient and helpful. On returning the car to the airport we were surprised that the office staff did not want to check the car before we signed the paperwork and left. This is standard practice so that both parties agree no damage has been done - either during the trip or in the car park. After we insisted, the girl there reluctantly checked it but was obviously annoyed.

STAY WELL CLEAR. over 6 months ago I had a car from these people. The car was damaged from the previous user, on the front. when I returned the car they initially claimed I had scratched the front then agreed that the damage was from the previous crash. Deposit was returned and as far as I was aware the case was closed. I now have a debt collector contact me out of the blue wanting money. these guys are crooks and conmen they sent me out with a damaged car and are now trying to charge me to fix someone else's damage. appalling behaviour and you should to avoid them at all costs.
