What went well: the waitress arrived quickly and asked us about drinks. She quickly served the drinks.What was wrong: if you choose the last 2 tables on the balcony (immediately left from stairs) then the windows belong to the kitchen and are noisy and smelly. There is a mineral water in glass bottle we used to buy in Slovenia's restaurants and it's 1 liter, mostly for €2-3. In this place it was €8. The Bolognese spaghetti was edible but not good. The Cordon Bleu was a bit raw and completely without any taste. After we got the food we were completely forgotten. Then I wanted to pay our meal. I saw a waitress with a mobile paying terminal but that's all, nobody came to us. After a while I went in and asked for the bill, they said ok, they'll reach me. Another 6-8 minutes and the waitress arrived. I showed my bank card and she said if I want to pay with the card then I can do it inside. O.o But there was a waitress with the terminal... Ok I went in but there was nobody. Another 3-4 mins and I was able to pay. it took about 15 minutes to settle the bill for these poor quality foods... I don't recommend this place.

Good place, cheapish food at good quality. They have a hotel on site, so if you want to crash close to a medieval castle, you’re in luck. Fantastic views of the valley, service a bit spotty though. Still worth a visit, even if the internet is horrible.

Service was slow but the food was good. The location in very nice and very close to the castle, and there are tables to sit outside.

Stopped for coffee and cake after the castle visit. Great view back to the Castle, excellent coffee, the best Prekmurska we have had on the whole trip and lovely friendly service.

horrible attitude. they wouldn't let us sit at a table with a view because we only wanted drinks. very arrogant service. I do not recommend.

Nice location and view. We had four dishes and of them only the calamari was enjoyable. Polenta and grilled cheese were very greasy and oily, and the soup was totally bland.

Absolutely gross. Spaghetti with “tomato” is just tomato-water with absolutely cheap pasta. Salad for 12€ is just vegetables without any dressing, thrown in the bowl.I do not recommend.We tried to communicate our opinion with the waitter (who was very professional and carying), but his boss said that the food is OK and that we have to pay for this disgusting food.However, I understand that the BOSS of this tourist trap restaurant is just not giving a F. about his costumers as tourist are just one-time commers, so no worries to take proper care of them.

What a great find this place was, it was great weather to sit outside and take in the view of the castle. The gnocchi with wild forest mushrooms was excellent, friendly service too.
