Camp Velenje

We had to give a 15 eur/person deposit in cash (that we got back, but it was unexpected), many basins (in particular those for washing clothes) did not have pipes and therefore water falls directly to your feet (!), for the WC there were some paires of one-way doors in which you could read the entrance/exit labels from outside but not from inside (and then it was not clear the exit door). They gave us an odd place for the tent, a transit way to a playground, just next to the entrance, but the camping was not crowded (~30% capacity). No facilities when traveling wirh a tent (roof in case of rain, table & bench). And it is amongst the most expensive campings that we know.Conclusion: Not recommended for tents, not good value for money.

5 star camping.A little expensive, but we were there in low season. So not too crowded. Good restaurant and a lot of things to do in the neighbourhood. Dogs are Welcome in de mobile houses as well. We would come back!

A quiet location next to a big lake created by coal mining. The history in the area is awesome, and the people are super friendly. The price was a bit high and does not include cleaning or breakfast. Next visit will definitely be in a hotel.Area has great potential, but off season and bad weather makes this a dead area.We did visit some bars and restraunts in the area which made the visit more valuable.

Super prijazno osebje, super lokacija. V kolikor greste tja v hladnješih mesecih, vzemite topla oblačila. Mobilne hiške se kar nekaj časa grejejo. Mobilne hiške so moderne, lepo opremljene. 2 splanici, 2 kopalnici in skupni prostor kuhinja, jedilnica. Spredaj lepa velika terasa.

Ponovno odprt kamp Velenje ima infraktrukturo še v izgradnji, vendar omogoča solidno kampiranje ter je odlično izhodišče za vodne in obvodne aktivnosti na velenjski plaži in jezeru. V okolici so označene kolesarske poti in peš poti. V prihodnosti bo zagotovo zelo zanimiva lokacija.

Friendly staff at the reception. The places were not great, because there was no shadow at all so it was very hot. Toilet and showers very clean and modern. Nice grass beach at the lake, can be very busy.

Bivali smo v mobilni hiški, lepe so, komfortne, dve sobi dve kopalnici, kužki so dovoljeni. Pogrešala sem čistila in krpe.

I was there to the Festival metal days. Its a nice place, but within sight is an ugly coal-fired power plant. Here there are immense cooling towers. Unfortunately, probably due to the coal processing is an always permanent stench in the air. We were only there for three days for a metal festival, but I would not have endured another day of the stench. This stench is stronger or weaker depending on the wind direction.

Odlična lokacija, omogoča razne aktivnosti. Zanimiv je zlasti v poletnih mesecih ko se da v jezeru kopati, spati.. itd. Imajo tudi lepo urejeno restavracijo z odličnim pogledom na jezero in okolico. V restavraciji nudijo več vrst jedi...razne solate, pizze, mesne jedi, hamburgerje, lignje...osebje je prijazno. Lokal ima tako mize v notranjosti kot tudi zunaj, tako da je obisk možen tudi v slabem vremenu.V kolikor ste v okolici priporočam obisk.
