Avoid these scam artists. We hired a car and the service was awful, the icing on the cake was when we returned it they fathomed up some damage on the edge of the passenger door, and their ‘proof’ was a blurry photo of smudge, which is probably a bit of dirt. Also it was taken from about 10ft away which is very odd.Have asked 5 times now for a clear picture (as needed by our 3rd party excess cover provider) but they just ignore us or send the same picture again but zoomed in, which ironically just makes it even more blurry.Response to this review will no doubt say to contact the same joke damage team who won’t provide us a clear picture.Awful , will never use Sixt anywhere again and am raising a case with the European Car Rental Conciliation Service + have written a letter to their head office.

Be very careful with this company. Small scuff on the boot where heavy cases will catch = 240 euro bill. Picture attached. You decide if that's reasonable. I certainly don't think so!

Its a bad Sixt franchise this one unfortunately so be careful. Same as everyone else has said, make sure you have insurance. I'd recommend taking out the full waiver policy if you can afford it and accidentally cause as much damage as you can by accident (sticking within their t&c's) making sure you get your monies worth so to speak. Do everyone they have scammed proud.

Contrairement aux avis précédents tout s’est bien passé pour moi. J’avais réservé une Audi Q2 on m’a attribué un Seat Formentor donc respect catégorie ok. Empreinte bancaire libérée sous 1 semaine sans aucune mauvaise surprise. J’avais fais mon stock de photos au départ et au retour, j’avais tout pris en photos les jantes les dessous de pare-chocs les dessous de caisse le compartiment moteur l’habitacle et la moindre petite rayure. Ils ont bien accepté ma carte bancaire du crédit agricole qui est une visa Classic portant la mention DÉBIT. (Je précise car il y’a une grosse histoire la dessus comme quoi certains loueurs à l’étranger refusent les cartes de débit ils veulent absolument une carte avec la mention CREDIT dessus donc chez nous cela correspond à une carte Classic ou Premier/Gold sous contrat Débit Différé. Véhicule propre et neuf aucun soucis technique. Je n’ai pas eu besoin de le laver avant de le rendre.

Basically you either take the extra excess insurance or they will scam you for marks on the car that you didn't do. Avoid at all costs. Seeing as I never ran a kerb or anything near I'd suggest that this almost invisible mark was already on the car when I collected it. The collection garage was poorly lit and made inspection really difficult. We couldn't even see the marks that were apparently already on the vehicle.Update:Nobody bothered to contact me regarding this issue as I knew they wouldn't. My insurance that I took out in the UK paid the excess, so it cost me nothing. I've read a few more reviews with the same issues and just proves my original point about a scam.Stay clear.

Agence de l'aéroport, personnel sympathique, bonne voiture, très bon état. Nous n'avons pas pu récupérer notre voiture à cause d'un retard de notre avion et d'une arrivée trop tardive à Ljubljana, nous avons laissé un message sur leur répondeur et ils ont rappelé le lendemain matin pour nous confirmer que notre voiture nous attendait à l'agence, sans supplément. Cela a été un vrai soulagement de ne pas voir notre réservation perdue!

We travel often. We have rented many rental cars through other companies, both in the US and abroad. This was our worst experience. When we arrived, there were several people outside of the airport waiting for their rental and it was obvious they were trying to get us out quickly. During the pre-rental inspection, we walked around the car and I pointed out a few things and they assured me it was already in the system so I would not be blamed. At one point, the young lady who was helping us pointed out damage on the front right bumper. She made a comment. It was not in the system but she would take care of it. Fast forward. 7 days later, we turn the car in. As we walk through the airport, we get an email from the company stating new damage was found (yep, that bumper). I walked back out of the airport and over to the rental area. There was a young guy in their little office who said he was the supervisor, I explained our situation, and with a big smile. He kept putting his hand on my shoulder to tell me not to worry. It would be okay, he would tell his supervisor and I could tell them what happened. A few days later we're back stateside, I get a message about the bumper, so I complete all of the paperwork explaining the issues. After about 3 weeks, I receive another notice stating they have read my email but they've decided it's still my fault and they send a bill for over 300 euros. I'm not usually skeptical, but I can't help the feeling this is something that's a common practice because they know you can't really refute it. And at that point, they already have your credit card on file. I rarely ever write negative reviews, but I would encourage everyone to avoid this company.

Avoid at all cost. The worst experience I’ve ever had renting a car. To begin with, they charged me more for cross country that advertised online. Then they try to push for a comprehensive insurance, as I refused they managed to get money after dropping the car, like a big scam as you can see from the many reviews.At the drop off I waited on site for the inspection to make sure everything was fine, so the agent finally told me it was done and I had nothing else to pay. Later, after taking my flight home I received an email saying they found a “damage”. The supposed “prove” was a picture as you can see, seems something you can clean up and you can’t even guarantee is the car I been using. Even though they wanted to overcharge more than €200 for that, I wouldn’t be so annoyed to pay if I knew was me. However I’ve taken proper care of this car as I always do. And the way they act seems just like a big scam.The customer service is ridiculous and they ignore you. At the end they threaten you for the money. I will never use them again.
