Soča Trout Fly Fishing Slovenia

The Soča River is spectacular and I can’t think of a way to get closer to it than fly fishing. Bojan knows all the spots and is a patient and talented teacher. I wish I had been able to do a full day to improve my casting, but the half day was a highlight of my trip. I highly recommend that any newcomer or experienced fisherman spend some time with Bojan!

Never tried fly fishing, and it was a great first time for me and my friends. Even caught a few.Only down side is its very expensive (guide+ equipment + fishing license)

I was very happy with my time fishing with Soca Trout. Ana was very helpful in the planning and coordination of the trip and Bojan was a great guide and patient instructor who helped me with the Slovensko technique. We moved around throughout the day to several beautiful stretches of water, all of which held fish. I was so thrilled to get to experience the Soca River and appreciate Ana/Bojan for hosting me. I have been fly fishing for ~30 years and my day with Soca Trout was among the best.

We had an amazing full day trip fishing the beautiful Soča river with Bojan. The booking was made online and the ensuing communication with Ana was excellent.We had never fly fished before, but he took the time to explain everything clearly and had great patience with us. Bojan also didn't hesitate to share his wide knowledge and even showed us different techniques (nymphing, dry fly and streamer fishing). Luckily, the weather defied a very bad forecast and we were able to land 9 beautiful rainbows in total! Furthermore, we hooked into a huge marble trout but unfortunately lost the beast... Still great to get the chance at such a dream fish!All in all a very memorable trip in gorgeous scenery. Highly recommended!

Great guiding to great spots. Bojan was as great a guide as we could have hoped. We were a group of three, 2 adults and one 11 year old and very new to fly fishing. Bojan took the time and we made it a successful day with lots of catches and learnt a lot.Definitely recommended.

We had a great time. The reservation process was easy, Bojan (the guide) was knowledgeable and personable. He has endless enthusiasm and patience for the client catching fish…maybe more enthusiasm than we did, we were so enamored with the beauty of the river and the day that the fish seemed ancillary...UNTIL one was on the rod! Bojan will definitely put you on fish......it's up to you to land them! I landed the illusive Marble (hooked many more) and my wife landed a monster rainbow. What a perfect day! Slovenia is such a beautiful place; the river is clean and clear just as we hoped for!
