Izvir Soče

If you want to hike to the Soča spring, you will have to be very careful. The last part of the 15 minute hike can be difficult, especially for people without much experience with hiking. It is a beautiful place but not suitable for everyone but also not for kids.

Csodaszép környezetben indul a séta. Az utolsó pár méter kicsit kalandos, de átlagos erőnléttel simán járható.

Natur pur und sehr faszinierend :)! Wir sind von Trenta aus der Soca entlang gewandert und dann zur Quelle. Man kann auch mit dem Auto etwas unterhalb der Quelle parken und dann sind es noch 15min zu Fuß. Achtung: der Weg ist sehr schwierig und anspruchsvoll! Unbedingt Wanderschuhe anziehen und man darf nicht ängstlich sein. Oben angekommen lohnt es sich aber :)! Herrlich!

The source of river Soča is a true example of nature's beauty. The water from the ridge of Jalovec, Travnik and Mojstrovke accumulates in an underground basin within a tectonic fault which looks knife-cut from the inside. It is a typical karst, vaucluse spring hidden in a narrow and steep canyon. The water level varies depending on the season and according to it the surface spring can be higher or lower down the gorge. Once free, the water drops rapidly over the rocks and waterfalls to the valley. It is best to visit the source around 12 and 2 p.m. as the sun is above the canyon only in this period, shining directly into the basin and resulting in an intense turquoise color of the water with glittering reflection on the cave walls.The approach trail starts behind a temporarily closed mountain hut and is a bit tricky because the last part is narrow, goes over slippery rocks but there is a steel cable for help. It takes ~20 minutes from the hut.

Zelo lepa narava, srednje naporen vzpon, najbolj nevaren je sam dostop do izvira, če je veliko pohodnikov.

Beautiful nature, getting to the spring itself is a bit tricky as it's steep and slippery so not for anyone, but it's worth a visit if you're up to it. And walk to it is beautiful even if you can't get to the very spot.

Entrata alla sorgente suggestiva.Il colore dell' acqua dove emerge l' Isonzo è magnifica. Il percorso è breve ma c'è un tratto pericoloso per chi non ha il moschettone.

Érdemes ide eljönni! Nem gondoltam volna, hogy a forrás ilyen csoda lesz.Szeptember 28-én a helyi busszal érkeztünk Izvir Soca megállóig, innen nagyjából 1.5 km a forrásig gyalog. Vissza Lepena K megállóig gayalogoltunk a Soska Pot túraúton további 18 km-t.
