Another enjoyable, informative and well-organised event by Mikaela.

Mikaela arranged a 4 day self guided hut to hut walking tour in the Julian Alps for us. She planned the trip in great detail including booking the hut stays, providing high quality materials and maps and helpful personal communication.We were able to approach our tour with more confidence knowing it had been planned and booked with her excellent personal knowledge of the area.The Julian Alps are breathtaking, with constantly changing scenery, from alpine meadows to turquoise rivers to rocky moonscape mountains.We thoroughly enjoyed the adventure and would highly recommend More To Explore.

I thoroughly enjoyed Mikaela's snow shoeing tour, especially tracking animal footprints in the snow and learning all about how wildlife adapts and survives during the winter! Mikaela is a passionate and highly experienced mountain guide with extensive knowledge of the local environment and wildlife. I would highly recommend her tours!

Slovenia is an incredible beautiful country and Mikaela knows it so well. She helped us plan an itinerary around the country and it was just fabulous - perfect swimming spots, excellent camping grounds, tailormade advice for us as a group even down to which pit stops near main roads had child-friendly play areas. We were lucky enough to spend a few nights with Mikaela and her family. The area then live in, Idrija, is so beautiful - swimming in the clearest of rivers, picking and eating wild strawberries (something my 3 year old loved doing), finding shallow rapids to do stick and leaf races and general splashing, ice creams by the river, bike rides along the valley past beautiful farms, beers with friendly neighbours. Oh and delicious cheese and yoghurt from a nextdoor farm. Seriously, you need to go and visit! We will be back. Thank you so much, you really made our trip!

I recently went on a guided mountain tour with Mikaela, and it was an excellent experience. Her knowledge of the local biota was impressive, and she was able to provide us with detailed information about the area's flora and fauna. She was also engaging in conversation, which made the experience more enjoyable.Mikaela led us on a hike through the snow and onto several beautiful snowy plateaus. The views were stunning, and we were able to see parts of Bohinj and the Julian Alps that we wouldn't have been able to explore on our own. Her guidance was attentive, and she ensured that we were safe and comfortable throughout the entire hike - even providing some kit that we lacked.I would definitely recommend Mikaela's guided mountain tours to anyone visiting Slovenia. We had the pleasure of taking a guided hike with Mikaela on the Pokljuka Plateau trail and it was an amazing experience. She took us on a fantastic and unique route, through deep snow which was a first for me, but with Mikaela's knowledge and expertise, I felt confident throughout the hike. She was incredibly informative and answered all of the many questions we had along the way.Additionally, Mikaela's thoughtfulness in bringing traditional cake and tea and taking photos for us made the experience even more special. I especially enjoyed her pointing out animal tracks, including a bear, hare, and fox and the depth of knowledge about nature and the areaOverall, I highly recommend Mikaela as a guide.
