I booked a half-day fly fishing trip on a short notice while traveling through Slovenia and reading about the best fly fishing in the world.My guide was Walter, he was amazing. He was very patient with me as I am a beginner to fly fishing and his knowledge and passion is without end. I caught 3 trout and was extremely happy. I learned so much about fly fishing and the eco system in those 5 hours. Thanks again Walter, I had a wonderful day to remember.

My friends and I had an amazing fishing trip to the Soca Valley in Slovenia. We fished hard for 3 days catching marble trout (up to 70 cm), wild rainbows and hybrids. Every day something new, every session fish. We couldn't have done any of this without the expert guiding of Gasper of Soca Fly and his colleague Bostjan. We could measure our success from the comments of other fisherman we met along the way, who had all heard of us and knew of our achievements. Gasper and Bostjan, know the waters to fish methods and flies to use. Without them this would have been an ordinary trip to a very beautiful part of the world, as it was it turned out to be a trip that makes memories. I can't recommend Gasper highly enough.

Had the pleasure to go fishing with Gasper on a guided tour & I can absolutely recommend it.Gasper is a a true pro when it comes to fly fishing in the valley and he went above and beyond to make this a very memorable day for me. Gasper is an awesome guide - his local knowledge and expertise made our trip fantastic. The rivers are beautiful, the fish are big and there are loads of them. Well worth a trip!

Two of our teenage sons went fly fishing for a day and Gasper really went above and beyond what would be expected of a guide. He really took care of the boys, helped them out and made sure they had a successful experience.

Being a guide myself I highly recommend Gaspar who showed me the astonishing Soca river. I’m not a super experienced fly angler (predatory fishing with hard and softbaits in Amsterdam is my thing) but with the accurate cues of Gaspar things went just great. I had only 4 hours to fish and this was enough to make my dream come true: catching trout on the Soca. The first was the biggest, but the second was the coolest in terms of spotting the fish behind a boulder, finding the best spot to cast and choosing the right fly. I’ll never forget that beast moving to the streamer, making a turn and gulping the thing in his big mouth. Just text book, classic, priceless. And I will be back for that marble trout that turned away last minute. Thanks for the amazing experience!

Had a 2 days guided tour with Gasper. He has an in depth knowledge of the region, sharp eyes in finding the fish and a lot of patience and dedication in finding the most effective flies. Great experience that i can strongly recommend.Manfred
