Go with very specific questions. They were able to help tell us how to do specific hikes, but were much less helpful when we asked for open ended recommendations on which hikes to do

Very bad experience. We were on a cycling trip across Austria, Italy, Slovenia und Croatia. We passed many mountains using our lightweight E-Bikes and at Bovec we wanted to charge them. Just needed two power sockets. Everywhere we asked people were very welcoming and didn't hesitate to let us charge. At the tourist info we asked and a nice lady said yes, we can do that. When we entered with our bikes an old white man, obviously the manager, yelled at us No" and kicked us out. That person needs to be removed from his job since he's at the wrong place. We moved on to Trenta and asked at the tourist info there and guess what: two young staff members did everything to help us. They have let us charge our bikes in their meeting room and when ordering to pay they looked at us and said "we're here to help

Not an amazing experience. Rocked in about 5.30pm looking for advice on rafting - but was told that with 25 different companies, they couldn't advice and told me to walk around the streets asking, even though most were shut. Asked about accommodation, and they basically gave me the Slovenia Pension guide and told me to call around. Don't rely on this TIC to make stuff happen for you.
