Hisa Brdo Guesthouse

This truly is a fantastic gem located on a stunning valley side with ever changing views. The guest house has been restored to an amazing standard and you can tell the hard work that gone into it. The house is kept clean and tidy through out. Stayed in Ces's room and the bed was very comfortable and roomy. The decking outside is the perfect place to enjoy a drink and take in the view down the valley regardless of the weather the view is always incredible. Roger and Louise really have done an amazing job with this guest house and are also brilliant hosts. Definitely would recommend and also return.

What a wonderful place to stop for the night. Fabulous hospitable hosts, gorgeous views, stunning sunset, and great meals.

We came in very late after hiking for ten hours! Such friendly hosts! Louise and Roger were the nicest. I had rolled my ankle and they offered me homemade arnica and paracetamol to help the swelling while I slept and prepared for the following day. It is a beautiful property and we were given a full breakfast of eggs, yogurt, cereals, fruit, coffee and juice.We actually ended up needing to go to hospital the following day and Roger even gave us a ride into town. Above and beyond hospitality. We felt very cared for, as if we had known them for years.(Attached are photos of the view from the terrace)

J'ai passé deux jours fabuleux chez Roger et Louise ! Ce sont des hôtes incroyablement attentionnés, qui veillent à ce que chaque voyageur se sente comme chez lui et profite au maximum de son séjour dans la région. La maison est magnifique, décorée avec soin et goût, tout comme les extérieurs, la vue est à couper le souffle. L'emplacement est idéal pour rejoindre Tolmin rapidement. En bonus non négligeable : la délicieuse cuisine de Louise pour le dîner !

Bili smo zelo zadovoljni s prenočiščem in hrano. Vse je bilo nad našimi pričakovanji, in ne bi mogli biti bolj srečni s svojo izbiro. Toplo priporočamo to namestitev vsem, ki iščejo popolno kombinacijo udobja, gostoljubja in odlične hrane. Zagotovo se bomo vrnili ob našem naslednjem obisku.

We stayed here for one night, lots of good tips & suggested places to visit from Roger. The house has been renovated to a high spec & the decking area is a lovely place to have a drink on an evening. Roger & Louise are very welcoming & spent time chatting and sharing their whole experience. Bike parking was available in their garage too. I would highly recommend.

10 out of 5! Spent 11 days in this amazing guesthouse. The accomodations leave nothing to be desired, completely remodeled, incredible food and the hosts are more than wonderful!! Convenient to everything local: food fresh trout, sights Tolmin gorge and local rivers. After riding in 32 countries, can honestly say Slovenia has some of the best motorcycle roads. I'll definitely be back to this location!!

My 2 night stay at Hisa Brdo was a last minute plan but I am so glad I got the opportunity to stay here. It is a super property and Roger and Louise who own this guest house are the most perfect of hosts. Personable, kind and helpful, they have a good knowledge of the area so can point you in the right direction for places to go and see and will go out of their way to help - they are also extremely sociable which worked very well for me!Their home is immaculate and has had a lot of time and effort spent on it (mainly by Roger) and the results are clear to see. It's the kind of home you wish WAS your home, it's absolutely fabulous and a pleasure to spend time at, either relaxing on the decking or just chilling out in the very comfortable lounge. Their easy-going manner made the whole stay absolutely perfect for me and I wouldn't hesitate to either recommend staying there or making a return visit. Well done Roger and Louise! Charlie ;)
