Old Bled House

A very cozy guest house with warm, helpful service. Rooms are full of unique details and they have ACs. Breakfast is served downstairs. There's also restaurant in the evening which is probably best in city. Would absolutely recommend.

Fantastic place to stay. Stayed for a week and felt very well looked after. Really clean. Super friendly staff. Fantastic food. Great parking and location. Will definitely be back!

We had dinner here and the chef did an amazing job. I'd thoroughly recommend the beef cheeks and the pork shank!

An old house full of unique, hand built rooms. A little funky but it has its charm. Plenty of parking and walking distance to the lake. Great restaurant downstairs. Top floor has views!

We had an absolutely lovely stay at the Old Bled House and would recommend it to anyone looking for a trip to Bled. An idea 2 minutes walk from the bus stop, the rooms were clean, quiet, and cool. Staff were also incredibly lovely, happy to hold onto bags for us when needed and very understanding about us needing to check out late. 5 star experience!

Pros:-Location: Only a 5 minute walk to the lake, but away from the “bustle” and noise of the downtown area.-Parking: Free parking with a sufficient number of spaces.-Cleanliness, upkeep & decor: The room & hotel were spotless. Wonderfully maintained and nicely decorated. Our room reminded me of a log cabin feel…very pleasant.Cons:-Air-conditioning: By American standards, the room was hot (in August). While I turned the A/C on full blast mid-afternoon, even by midnight it didn’t manage to cool the room to below 78-79F. In a cooler month, I expect this would be non issue and the hotel could likely be a 5/5.-Shower: The shower has a handheld nozzle. When inserted into the nozzle holder however, the water sprays past the non-water tight shower doors and soaks the bathroom. While not an issue to use it handheld, a minor point for improvement.- Front desk hours: While the front desk has listed hours, personnel were away from the front desk during those hours. I stopped by the front desk at 7:30 PM, and the restaurant staff told me that the front desk closed early for the evening (without a note on the front desk). Not a big deal as an emergency phone number was provided, but service can be sparse.Overall, a very nice hotel. However the light A/C could be a deal breaker in the warmer months depending on your individual preferences for room temperature.

Our neighbors were very respectful but we could hear them at times.There is AC but, by American standards, it didn’t get as cold as we would have liked (this is super typical of all Europe though - I get that our room temps tend to be abnormally cool!)The pillows seemed a little overused. I stacked a few so there would be some head support but they were too plush.The mattress was a little firm for my liking. It was ok but far from the most comfortable I have slept on.The shower has a hand-held shower head with no good way to hang it for hands-free showering. Not a big deal but a little unique.Overall:100% would stay again & recommend. The location and pricing are great & the staff are super friendly. There are a few quirks to the rooms but they add to the charm and we enjoyed our stay.

Very comfortable and beautiful place. The staff is responsive, kind and smiling. The interior of the rooms is stunning, atmospheric and at home cozy. Good location, 5 minutes to the lake and stores and cafes. A bus stop is just around the corner. Breakfast is good. On the first floor a restaurant serving home cooking made of Slovenian products, very tasty, I recommend it, but it's recommended to book in advance, it's a popular place.I will definitely choose this place for my next visit to Bled.

It was our 4. or 5. stay here and it’s always like coming home.The two ladies who are running everything are friendly, nice and have always a smile.Rooms are always clean and breakfast is also good.See you next time.

We didn't stay there, we just had dinner there. Food is really good. We like the Mushroom soup and the beef Pete appetizer. Beef cheek and fish were both great.
