Hotel Piran

Wanted to love this hotel, but didn’t. Wouldn’t stay here again.Pros - the staff was kind, the shuttle service was easier than expected, location was great.Cons - insufficient air conditioning with a sea facing room (getting direct afternoon sun), wi-fi was terrible (had to pay for it after 30 minutes), rooms could use updating. I like historic, but not when it’s uncomfortable.

Piran was a nice surprise in Slovenia. Hotel Piran was even more pleasant. Very nice and friendly staff. The hotel has a lot of bikers and a safe shelter (locked) to park your expensive bikes. The view from a sea view room" is magnificent."

Fantastic location, right in the middle of town. However, what really makes this place stand out is the friendliness of the staff. Nik, in particular, went out of his way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The breakfast was a joy in itself with plenty of choice of comfort food, fresh and healthy offerings, catering for all sorts of allergies and intolerances. The lobby faces the seafront on one side, making it perfect to dip into the sea at any time of day. Towels are available to guests and sun loungers + parasols can be reserved for a fee. A great base for an active, as well as a sun holiday!

Booked and paid for a double sea view room and they tried to put us in one with a French bed and a toilet with about 25cm clearance from the wall. When we explained that this not what was booked they moved us to normal room with no view but at least the toilet and bed were usable. Then they emailed us copies of the 'original' booking which stated French bed: we already had the original documents which (surprise) did not have anything about a French bed room so after all that no admission of a mistake and no apology - blamed the tour booking agent, however, told the agent separately that they were very sorry because they had over booked. Amazing view form the hall, and from the restaurant. Located at a nice beach with a beauty landscape. Umbrellas and seats are definitely 10 meters away from a clean hotel restroom and the bar. The location is perfect. The sky terrace is just gorgious at sunset.The breakfast is perfect, the staff is very kind, polite and everybody smiling. We spent 3 nights with a 5-months-old lil girl who enjoyed the stay so much. Bed for the infant was provided. The hotel is very clean. We will return someday. :)

For a 4 star hotel with a price to match I was very disappointed in my stay here.The room my wife and I stayed in was quite small and although they advertise that they have A/C in the rooms that it only a technicality. In reality the air conditioning is a small box on one side of the room spitting out barely enough air to cool the room by a few degrees (F) from the outside. In the middle of August heat this led to our bedroom being quite uncomfortable well into the night. Additionally, there is next to no insulation between rooms so you’ll hear activity above, below, to the side, and from the hall at all hours. The window is not insulated well either and the street is very noisy. Wi-Fi is not free and requires you to pay. Also the chairs at the concrete beach are fully reserved so don’t count on them if you wish to hang out there. All of these gripes are something I’d deal with at a cheap hotel or hostel, but not at a 4-star hotel.The breakfast was very filling and of good quality. The cocktails are a bit speedy but equally well made. The staff are all excellent and want to make your stay as good as possible. The location is unbeatable in the heart of Piran.Altogether, if I visit Piran again I will not be staying here and I would not recommend it to anyone.

First of all, don't make our mistake, spend the little extra money for the sea view... the other side is very disapointing. That being said, everyone in the staff was lovely, the hotel was great and being able to stay in the heart of Piran was amazing. Breakfast with the sea view was amazing.

This is a beautiful hotel in a beautiful location. The views from the balcony are spectacular. The restaurant and rooftop bar have good views too. The breakfast is good. The staff are courteous. The biggest downfall is the actual rooms are tiny. One of you have to climb into your bed as its against the wall. The air con works but is extremely noisy leaving it difficult to sleep while it's on.

One of my favorite hotels. Perfect location, kind and professional staff. Delicious breakfast buffet. I got an “attic room” facing the sea and it had a skylight and a small window at a great price. Hotel has a masseur on the premises. Florijan and Ermin were super helpful and went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. Rooftop was only open on weekends in May, so I didn’t get a chance to see it, but heard great reviews. Definitely recommend!

The location is perfect.The sea is right in front of the entrance !We had an upgrade to a sea view room. I recommend this view wich is so beautiful.The staff (desk and restaurant) is very kind and professional.The breakfast is included an very good.However, the bathroom need to be renovated. It'clean but quite old. it is not up to the standard of a 4 star hotel, especially for such a price.
