Good wine and good programe!

Staff was extremely friendly, and even though we were a bit late, they still let us take a look around (although the wine tasting did not fit in the time any more). They were friendly and helpful in recommending local wines, so we left with two which we could taste ourselves at home :D

I visited a lot of wineries, including wineries in the country of wine, France. However, the biggest impression on me was the winery, Vinago cellar in Maribor. According to the host, it is almost 200 years old. It is located in the very center of Maribor. Wine tasting is a real experience. Each wine follows the consumption of the appropriate food. The highlight of the tasting is the opening of the champagne with a saber by the sommelier.I visited the winery almost two decades ago. Although I have been to Maribor several times after that, I did not have the opportunity to experience the magic of tasting its wines again.

20€ for the tour with 2 wine tastings, 25€ for tour with 4 tastings. Though a group that came after us was quoted 30€ for 4 tastings (in german, which perhaps the tour guide didn't know I understood as well).Our guide was very friendly and did her best with the material. You are touring a cellar with an interesting and rich history. But it all seems run down, little effort put in and I found the price very expensive (we have been to vineyards with free tours and tastings if you purchase something, seems much more reasonable). Wine tastings ok but not overwhelming- nice sauvignon. Unfortunately little shared about the wines, how they are made and aged.Has potential but needs more effort from the owner.

The wine tasting was disappointing, but that is personal.

This might not be as great as the things that you’ve read about it. So much potential to be something really great (and it seems like it was in the past), but it’s passed through so many owners and hasn’t been invested in recently that it’s a bit disappointing now. Relatively new owners now and glad they’re Slovenian, but the wine is mediocre and the price of the tour is outrageous, especially given the quality and variety of the wines and how run down the building is. The staff is young and friendly and we had no trouble understanding our guide like others have complained about. She had interesting facts and did a great job serving the wine. The ownership is really the ones that have failed to make this as special as it could be. I hope they start producing better wines and/or invest in the building to have a better tour of an amazing historical site.

Loved it!Kind people, interesting tour, beautiful (and huge) cellar and of course fine wines.

Wine cellar, where you can learn all about wine, possible tasting during your visit. There are many warehouses and corridors. It is an interesting tour of the entire winery.

We pre-booked online and there was a group of 5 of us.We paid 25 euro with the tour and tasting.I think the tour was great, it was really interesting and linked in with the history of Maribor.The wine tasting was good, with generous helpings and tasty wines.I would recommend this to anyone looking for tourist attractions in Maribor.
