Meeting Mountains: Vacation Planning & Hiking

We went on a beautiful mountainbike trip to waterfalls with Johannes. He knows a lot about the area and shares his knowledge with a friendly kindness and/or some tiny surprises along the route. We loved the serenity of Bovec area and the overall joyfull day full with laughs, water, friends and a little uphill exercise on the mountainbike :)

I participated in several adventures with Johannes during a boogie in Bovec. He is an excellent guide, has a great positive and friendly attitude, knows awesome places around, and loves what he's doing. Can't recommend him enough. Thanks a lot Johannes! On a recent trip to Bovec, I had the distinct pleasure of participating in an overnight hike with Meeting Mountains and it was truly a highlight of my experience there. Johannes has a gift for bringing the best out of people (even when they are gasping for breath and sweating through their shirts), and he cultivated a wonderful sense of community in our little hiking group. Every detail of the trip was meticulously planned, right down to the delicious meals, and I walked away from it feeling as if I had participated in something truly special. On my first trip to Slovenia, I elected to participate in a Chill Day Lunch with some new and old friends with Meeting Mountains. With Johannes as our guide we got to experience a few of the many beautiful and unique corners of the region. Johannes truly knows where the best sites and best local food can be found. I wish I had more time and did another experience with Meeting Mountains while in Slovenia. Looking forward to making it back there and connecting again!

Johannes is amazing! My wife and I traveled to Slovenia in September of 2021. I don't know how Johannas did it but the weather our entire trip was perfect. We spent 8 days of our 2 week honeymoon In the Soca Valley and we gave Johannas complete control over the things we did. Just a few of the things loved were: eating at Hiso Franko, Paragliding, Exploring little mountain villages, kayaking, staying in the most perfect little mountain hut and tasting amazing wines. Everything was excellent! it is not hyperbolic to say that our time with Johannas changed our outlook on life. Johannas is incredible at his job, but more importantly, he is a wonderful person. We can't wait to get back to Slovenia. My excursions with Johannes & Meeting Mountains were one of the absolute highlights of my week in Bovec! Not only is he the nicest person, but he knows the ins and outs of the country and all of its hidden treasures. Bovec is full of tour companies who cater to the masses, but MM is catered to the distinct few who truly want to get off the beaten path and see what the area is all about. You’ll go places you wouldn’t have even known existed, eat & drink at local spots, and see Bovec for all it has to offer aside from the typical. If you want a unique adventure, don’t even hesitate to book with Johannes.

Johaness is a thoughtful, kind and caring host, with great knowledge of the area and all its hidden gems, and a gift for creating moments and experiences you'll not forget anytime soon.From quaint, charming watermill and small villages to stunning view points and natural wonders, and, my personal favorite, access to out-of-the-beaten-path farm to table culinary experience, I've really had an incredible day I spent with Meeting Mountain.
