Vila Bled
We loved that the hotel is basically unchanged from when it was built. Lovely views from our room and the hotel terrace. The hotel has an excellent location on the lake. The swimming dock/ lounge area are very private, modern and nice. There is even a lifeguard on duty! Maintenance of the exterior and grounds need attention. The furniture is original and worn and our bathtub also looked like it was from the 1950's. But this isprobably the reason why the hotel is moderately priced.Breakfast was very good.

How can you be so shameless to charge 300 euro/night for this hotel"? Next day I was in 5* Kempinsky Adriatic for same price. How can you be so shameless to charge 37 euro for 1 meal in your high end restaurant? Paris is cheaper than Bled xD Your recepcionist told us to book dinner because its crowded fast. 20.00 there were 2 more couple xD Most important dinner was bad. Really

I can’t speak for the hotel experience, but can tell you that the hotel accepted my reservation many months ago, more than doubled the price after a couple of months, and then cancelled my reservation for a “government need” this week! This resulted in me scrambling to find a good alternative when all of the other lakeside hotels have been fully booked. How can you trust the hotel? Luckily I don’t get to experience what a reviewer before me went through: being denied a room at checkin time after a reservation had been made months earlier. This place seems to be run in an old-fashioned Communist manner - government can overrule you anytime!

If you want a private, quiet stay, this is the perfect place to be! The views are spectacular. You can enjoy your breakfast on the terrace with an open view on the famous lake Bled, the island and castle.Enjoy a walk around the villa, explore the path that goes all around the lake. I love how peaceful it is around the villa.The hotel offers a boat that’s rent free for the first hour. There’s also a little spa with two saunas and a jacuzzi, it’s a private room that accepts max. four people, all included in the price.The staff is absolutely amazing. They help with everything you need.They have a restaurant with a la carte menu, highly recommended. The pricing is a bit up there, but it’s worth for what you get.Definitely 10/10 , will return!We had a standard room with a twin bed. The bed is comfortable, so are the pillows.Theres also a balcony that has an amazing lake view. The rooms are clean and the cleaning service is top notch.The only thing I would recommend, if you have long hair, to bring your own hairdryer if that’s something you appreciate. There’s one in the bathroom, but with only one setting and quite weak.Other than that,I didn’t miss anything, it’s well supplied with everything you need.

There are lots of positives with the Vila Bled hotel but the dated feel does detract from what could be a very special hotel.Pros- Perfect location on Lake Bled- free boat hire for you to row to Bled Island is a lot of fun- the rooms are huge!!- everyone at the hotel is super helpful and friendly- breakfast is really nice and there are lots of optionsCons- the hotel is in need of a bit of a revamp, it feels a bit like stepping back in time. Everything is clean, just a bit like the 80s.

One of the most disappointing experiences we have ever had.We were coming on a multi-trip and staying one night but really built this place up and, were even planning on immediately booking again for a longer trip. Nope. Not in a million years.Rooms were terrible; large - yes, pointlessly so? definitely; they’re large because it used to be the palace of a dictator and there’s nothing else they can do with the layout. Our “suite” had a wonderful view of what looked like a communist apartment building (see attached picture). The whole place is very dated, worn out and lacking basic modern amenities such as air conditioning, closets that close and, basic human comforts.The whole hotel was devoid of any feeling or personality and felt pretentious and, past it’s prime.The staff we experienced were pleasant and helpful enough but, that was only two people in 24 hours of us being there.There are some positives though: it’s in a great location, has its own private swimming area on the lake and, looks nice from a distance. Breakfast was average but the view from the terrace was lovely in the morning.Do not waste your money at this place.

Sadly a poor experience. Unfriendly staff and poor service/ facilities and tired rooms. It’s a shame as the Vila has a great position and a unique history. Suggest you stop by for a coffee to enjoy the views but stay elsewhere.

Wonderful place! Nicely located with awesome view and plenty of parking spaces. Bus stop is also within 3-5min. Nice and super friendly staff members and you can also use private jacuzzi and saunas for an hour. Room was spacious and clean, has balcony with view you can sit out, and bed and linens were comfy. Breakfast was also awesome. Would definitely come back and stay here again and highly recommend!

Best in every elements. I look old when I was looking at the photo but my partner insisted to stay. It turn out to be super wow stay for me. It was like turning back time to the 50. The decorations were kept in place and the view of the lake direct from the room was amazing. Private access to the lake was luxurious also the boat was included in the room rate.

We didn't have the chance to stay at this hotel but we've been inside for a look, the place is a true jewellery, a masterpiece, we love the interior design, Ales the receptionist was very open to let us see all around the place, the guest have a very unique view from the terrace during the breakfast time, we will come back to stau here for sure !!!
