Villa Bajtica - Vintage Art House

I have spend two nights here and I can just say fantastic. AnaMaria is a very good host and her garden looks very nice. She has all kind of plants in her garden and fruit. I used the bike for a ride around the lake what took me half an hour. My sincere recommendation

We stayed in the cottage at Villa Bajtica and had the most amazing stay! The house is so charming and set in the most beautiful garden. The location is perfect, on a quiet street, but a short walking distance to everything in Bled. What really made the stay incredible was the host, Meta and her parents. They were so hospitable, bringing us local wine each evening, coffee and giving us so many local recommendations, plus teaching us some history of the area. We LOVED this place and can't recommend enough! Thank you Meta!

Let's start with the property first.Location is fantastic.... Just 5 minutes walk from the centre of Bled and the lake itself, yet in a very laid back street which is only traversed by the people living in it, which means it is truly quiet and peaceful.It is a charming two level wooden building which is over a hundred years old, yet is in excellent condition, with a beautiful will manicured garden and onsite free parking space. It is furnishings are also very varied... From dated antiques to modern - our room even had a beautiful genuine tapestry on the wall. And books everywhere!More importantly, the bathroom is very well equipped, with plenty of hot water and high pressure, as well as a large shower cubicle and a separate bath.The bedroom has a truly fantastic balcony, with a pair of chairs and a small table, from where you can sit and enjoy the remarkable view, with Bled Castle in the distance. Breakfast is good too with a variety of home made fayre, jams and honey etc.But most of all, the whole experience is made truly outstanding by the host - Ana Marija. She is a proud and truly well versed ambassador of her country and anything Slovenian.... Be it history, geography, music, traditions or travel advice. Breakfast became a learning experience for all things Slovenian and beyond. She transformed our stay into a truly memorable, inspiring and happy experience. Thank you for everything Ana Marija!

An absolute gem of a guesthouse. The family who runs the house are wonderful people who welcome you into their home with tea, coffee, wine, and incredible conversations in their garden.

I’ve just had a one-of-a-kind solo holiday in Lake Bled, all thanks to Bajtica Guesthouse and its hosts. Ana Marija and Meta were so welcoming and knowledgable about Slovenia and the surrounding area of Bled. They know its secrets, its special places and its history. The meals they prepared for me were also completely comprised of ingredients they’d either grown, or sourced from independent local farmers (or in some cases, sourced the best wine/olive oil independently from other countries like Turkey or Italy!)And my gosh, the location. I went in April, so snow-capped peaks on one side, and the beautiful green Lake Bled, island, and castle on a cliff on the other - a short walk from the guesthouse. Breathtaking.It’s a comfy, unique, one-of-a-kind house with one-of-a-kind hosts. You will never have a holiday like it.
