amateur hour in lots of respects. the direction book is bang on accurate in some instances and way off track in other instances. bikes are your typical rental bikes. basic and serve the purpose. there trail marking stickers are either non existant or in completely stupid spits. like the inside of a post, or behind a post on the other side of the trail, or at the far end of a intersection so you have to stop and really strain to see. see attached photos. sure with a little common sense you can figure it out but it still was far more stressful than it needed to be.

We have just come back from a 2 week cycling holiday organised by Helia, and it was just fantastic. Great route, excellent hotels and well organised. We wanted to add extra days to make it a full fortnight and had total flexibility when and where we did it, which, other companies struggled with. The last hotel in Piran was awesome. Always good communication and very polite and quick to respond, i cannot recommend highly enough.

We have just finished the Pearls of Slovenia tour and we loved it. The landscapes are wonderful and the hotels were great. It is important to know that part of the trip is shared with cars, but it was not stressful for us. We would give 5 points if the communication with the company would have been easier and more clear.We are happy that we made the trip and we would repeat.

Did a one week cycling tour in Slovenia, and it was OK. To be clear, Slovenia itself is amazing, but the tour organisation not so much. The bikes worked, and the route was alright, up to a point, but on some days we were directed down main roads, and on most days we did better finding our own way. We wouldn’t hesitate to do another cycling holiday in Slovenia, it’s an amazing country, but having done it with Helia once, we’d find another way if we did it again.

Wir hatten die Neun Flüsse Wanderung gebucht. Die Unterkünfte waren nicht schön, entweder alles sehr alt oder die Zimmer waren sehr klein. Das Frühstück war aber immer in Ordnung. Die Wanderungen waren zum Teil sehr langweilig und ohne Highlight.

We have booked 4 bikes + 2 carts for the kids for a week in August and they asked us to pay the whole amount in advance (1,000€) at the time of the reservation, which has been done in February.Luckily I negotiated and I asked to pay 50% in advance and the rest once we would have arrived. Long story short Slovenia had the most terrible flooding of the last 30 years just 2 days before our arrival, so we did not manage to travel to destination.Helia Tours is not answering the phone nor emails and basically stole 500€ from us. No refund, no credit for a new booking, no nothing. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!
